Greater New Orleans Foundation has recently announced about $400,000 in grants from its environmental initiative, he Coastal 5+1 serving coastal parishes of St. Bernard, Plaquemines, lower Jefferson, Terrebonne and Lafourche and the coastal-dependent parish of Orleans.
One recipient is the Environmental Defense Fund which receives a $100,000 grant to aid in its efforts to reconnect the Mississippi River.
